2025 has truly been a mixed bag. The world witnessed geopolitical unrest, economic instability, ongoing conflicts, rising division, and heartbreaking events—from massive job losses to catastrophic hurricanes, plane crashes, and wildfires that devastated major cities. Yet, even in the midst of all this uncertainty, we also saw sparks of progress, resilience, and a growing desire for meaningful change.
Through it all, one thing remained steady: the unwavering support of our community.
We are deeply grateful for the trust, love, and encouragement we have received from our partners this year. Because of you, we were able to build meaningful collaborations, introduce new strategies to expand our programs, and serve an even larger community—an accomplishment that feels especially significant during challenging times.
Amid unrest and division, we found hope. Amid anger and fear, we found unity and purpose. And because of that, our commitment to serve our community with compassion has only grown stronger.
This journey would not be possible without our dedicated staff, volunteers, community members, partner organizations, and everyone who has stood by us. Thank you for walking with us, believing in our mission, and helping us move forward.
As we look ahead, we invite you to continue this journey with us. Next month, we are hosting a one-day Healthcare Research workshop for upper middle school and high school students interested in exploring future careers in healthcare. This hands-on program will introduce students to research methods, offer real-world exposure to the field, and empower young learners to envision their path in health and science. We are also continuing recruitment for our Free Security Guard Training Program, which is funded through a New York State Department of Labor Reemployment Training Grant awarded to our M/WBE small business partner, LASI Security Company, Inc. If you or someone you know is seeking job training or a new career pathway, we encourage you to sign up or share these opportunities with friends, family, and community members who may benefit from early mentorship, guidance, or workforce support.
We express our heartfelt gratitude and look forward to continuing this work—together—in the years ahead.
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
